Ingredients

  • 3 lb. sirloin steak
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, more for cooking
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped Italian parsley
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 teaspoons steak seasoning
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded and sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded and sliced
  • 1 sweet onion, cut into thin wedges
  • Ground black pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Cut steak into small cubes. Place steak cubes in a sealable container.
  2. In a small bowl whisk together the teriyaki sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, garlic, parsley, and red pepper flakes. Pour the marinade over the steak cubes and refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight.
  3. Remove the steak from the marinade. Discard the marinade.
  4. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil in a large skillet. Bring to medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned. Season with 1 teaspoon of steak seasoning. Transfer steak to a plate to rest.
  5. Add the sliced bell peppers and onion wedges to the skillet. Season with black pepper and the remaining steak seasoning. Cook for 5 minutes stirring frequently.
  6. Add the steak back into the skillet. Cook and stir for a few minutes to warm steak.
  7. Spoon to serving plates and enjoy!
