Milk Boiled Corn on the Cob

Ingredients

  • 8 ears corn, husk and silks removed
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • Water, for boiling
  • 1/4 cup butter, more for buttering corn
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • Salt, for seasoning corn
  • Fresh ground black pepper, for seasoning corn

Directions

  1. Fill a large stock pot 3/4 full with water. Pour in milk, whipping cream, butter and sugar in the stock pot. Bring pot to a boil. Stir until the butter melts and sugar dissolves.
  2. Gently place corn cobs in the stock pot. Reduce heat to low. Cook corn for 7-8 minutes. Use tongs to remove corn cobs.
  3. Rub butter over corn, season with salt and pepper, and enjoy!
