Top-shelf Strawberries In Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 pounds strawberries (halved and hulled)
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Directions

  1. Put strawberries in bowl. Set aside
  2. Simmer water in pan and add sugar. Remove from heat and add liqueur. Pour syrup on strawberries and toss until evenly coated. Set aside.
  3. In separate bowl, beat powdered sugar and cream together, until soft peaks are formed.
  4. Separate strawberry mixture evenly and top with whipped cream.
