Since 1958, Boise Rescue Mission Ministries has taught the word of God and provided food, shelter, clothing and opportunities to recover from homelessness to men, women and children in need. Boise Rescue Mission serves homeless men, women and children through its primary programs located at five facilities in Southwest Idaho: Food Programs: Staff serve three meals a day, seven days a week to homeless individuals residing in BRMM’s facilities as well as anyone from the community who is hungry. BRMM also distributes food boxes and provides special holiday meals to those in need. Emergency Services Program: This program meets basic physical needs, providing homeless guests with food, shelter, clothes, showers, and hygiene items. Life Transition Program: This program has an 85% success rate in helping homeless individuals find and sustain employment. New Life Program: NLP is a 12-18 month recovery program that assists individuals with alcohol/drug addictions as well as those who are homeless due to other circumstances. · Next Step Program: This 6-12-month transitional housing program provides affordable housing, case management services, job assistance and more. Veterans Ministries Program: The VMP assist veterans in transitioning off the streets and into long-term housing by providing case management, assistance with benefits, drug/alcohol recovery services, etc. · Mental Health Program: Through a partnership with local providers, BRMM offers mental health services at no charge for guests. · Children’s Program: This program provides homeless children ages 0 to 17 with case management, education, tutoring, holiday and summer activities, mental health care, etc. In 2015, the Mission served 371,251 meals, provided 131,542 warm beds, handed out 64,426 articles of clothing and helped 464 individuals transition from homelessness to independent living.
