Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup shorting
- 2 eggs
- 3 mashed bananas
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Directions
In a large bowl, mash bananas, add sugar, shortening, & eggs. Mix well. Slowly add the flour 1 cup at a time, ( I like to add the baking soda & salt to the last cup before adding to the other mixture. Beat until the flour is all mixed in. Add nuts & mix well. Bake in a greased 9X5 loaf pan at 350 degrees for about an hour or until toothpick inserted in bread comes out clean
