Garlicky Broccoli Pasta

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 4 ½ cups penne pasta, cooked and drained
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil leaves, crushed

Directions

  1. In a 10-inch skillet over medium heat, heat broth, basil, pepper, garlic and broccoli to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and cook until the broccoli is crisp-tender.
  2. Add the pasta and lemon juice, tossing to coat. Sprinkle pasta with cheese and serve.
