Brussels Sprouts with Butter & Lemon

SERVES 2

Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt and coarsely ground black pepper, to season

Directions

  1. Make a shallow ‘x’ on the bottom of each Brussels sprout using a small paring knife.
  2. Steam Brussels sprouts, covered, for 6 minutes or until they are tender; drain.
  3. Add Brussels sprouts, butter, lemon juice and lemon zest to a bowl then mix well to coat.
  4. Season Brussels sprouts with salt and black pepper before serving.
